SCHOOL WORKSHOPS

Aikido Kids Mae Ukemi Forward Roll

Mumei Shudan Dojo conducts on-demand Aikido workshops and seminars in preschools, schools and colleges. With groups between 20-60 kids, we build basic balancing and rolling skills, as well as introduce basic techniques and principles of Aikido. We challenge coordination, basic body dynamics and observe safe exploration during practice. Aikido is also great tool for social skills – collaboration, responsibility, empathy and discipline.

Please contact us to discuss requirements for your school and children.

CORPORATE EVENTS AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

Mumei Shudan Dojo hosts various leadership workshops over 2-3 hours. We prepare the course aligned with corporate values of the customer or focus on the learning principles and outcomes. We discuss, demonstrate and practice application of those values in Aikido and their benefits. We use and challenge physical, mental and social abilities of your team and each individual while keeping overall safety. Our instructors create memorable learning experience for the team – fun, engaging and dynamic.

We are able to host groups between 5-30 people in our dojo. We also conduct workshops at customer premises with or without the mats.

INSTRUCTOR PROGRAMME

Serge Beraud Aikido Tsuki

To ensure consistent quality of our instructors and assistant instructors, Mumei Shudan Dojo conducts Instructor programme over a month of workshops and multiple sessions of supervised coaching. Similar to Physical Education (PE) programs, instructor course covers anatomy, physiology, pedagogy, psychology along general sports training and specifics of Aikido. Assistant instructors often take partial and occasionally full responsibility of the classes.

INTERNATIONAL SEMINARS

International Aikido seminar is one of the great ways to travel, explore the world and make new friends. Our students and teachers attended Aikido seminars across Asia, Europe and US. We practice with World top teachers and meet new and old friends. Sharing mat, food and stories creates special connection and allows each of us to be a part of a large Aikido family.

The very special by far of all the Aikido destinations is Japan. We regularly support Yoko Okamoto Seminars in Kyoto and International Aikido Federation (IAF) Conference. Aikikai Headquarters Hombu Dojo is also our favorite and frequent destinations.

In addition to regular classes, Mumei Shudan Dojo organizes regular internal seminars to focus on specific level, principle or technique.

One of our favorites – is annual Yudansha grading (Black Belt) preparation seminars over 2-3 month before the grading. It’s a 4 hours intensive review of techniques required to pass 1st to 4st Dan exams.
