Thierry Diagana Sensei, 4th Dan Aikikai

Thierry DiaganaBorn in France in 1966, Thierry Sensei spent his youth running around the track as fast as possible and clocked the 400 meters dash in 46"05.
In 1991 he decided to start working on his brain as well and earned a Ph.D. in molecular biology in 1995. By then he wrongly assumed he had learned all he needed to know about discipline, hard work and self-sacrifice until he moved to San Diego in 1996 where he met his first Aikido teacher T. K. Chiba Shihan (8th Dan; founder of Birankai International). For 5 years he seriously reconsidered his assumption and intensely studied Aikido at San Diego Aikikai. He then moved to San Francisco and furthered his study of Aikido under the guidance of G. E. Nomura Shihan (6th Dan) at the Aikido Institute of San Francisco.
In 2005, Thierry Sensei earned a Birankai assistant-instructor (Fukushidoin) certificate and in 2008 he received a Birankai instructor (Shidoin) certificate.
Thierry Sensei is living and working in Singapore since February 2007.
